Advantages

Mains pressure hot and cold water, giving high performance showering throughout the house.

No need for a cold water cistern in the loft.

Potable drinking water at all taps.

 

Disadvantages

Servicing is required every year

Needs a discharge pipe

No stored water if mains supply fails.

Poor mains pressure and flow rate will cause poor performance
